Old injuries do hurt sometimes.......

They say a good impression is a long lasting impression. A man looks smart and dashing only when he is well groomed. On this instance I would like to share an instance down from my diary which relates to my experience with my handsome husband who missed a chance of being selected for a movie.

The incident dates back to 1996, when we were once invited to a dinner party at my husband's colleague's place as he was celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary. My usually dashing and ever smart was un -occasionally dull as he was held up with office work throughout the week and till the day of the party. He somehow missed shaving his beard as he made it to the get together which was held at a grand resort just outskirts of the city.

The party saw some celebs from the television industry and couple of cine stars as well who lit up the party. My husband's colleague did introduce my husband to the guests and they were quite happy to know each other. My husband did feel low and was not at his best after missing out to shave and carried his stubble for get together. I did notice people talking about my husband and also over heard people talk about him for a role in a television drama, but none approached him for it...

The dinner was over and we stayed back till the end to help the special couple on their way back, when my husband's colleague said "couldn't you have shaved off your beard and come today, you missed a chance to impress these celebs who were on a look out for a character for their upcoming television drama and had almost selected you except for that stubble of yours".

My husband was ever interested to become an actor, but at the end of the day was a little upset as his stubble came in way of making a good impression. They say opportunities knock the door only once and same did happen here as my husband still regrets missing it...

  1. That's why I always tell my husband to shave. He spoils a lot of our vacation pictures by not shaving. Wish you good luck for the contest.
